It’s summer, which means we try to plan a couple of day trips each week with the kids to get everyone out of the house and do something together. Bailey found The Dinosaur Store in Cocoa Beach and wanted to visit because it had a mosasaur exhibit, and mosasaurs are her favorite.

A few weeks ago, Tiffy and I stopped into BelAroma for a little date night action and had a really incredible meal. The food was fresh, the service was great, and there was something about the place that stuck with me after we left. So much so that I found myself thinking about it over the next few days and decided I needed to go back.

Tiffany and I were excited to go along on a rescue ride with Tommy Stevenson. I had seen him months earlier on U.S. 1, driving with a pup in the passenger seat, both of us with the windows down and music going. We caught each other in that quick moment - he turned his music down, I turned mine down - and we said hello before moving on. It stuck with me.

With a tight window between work shifts, a full vacation wasn’t in the cards for me, my wife Tiffany and our son Porter. So we did what you do in Central Florida when time is short: we went straight to Disney Springs and made a day of it. No easing into it. No overthinking. Just straight there.
