What is the Museum Month Bingo Passport


West Volusia Tourism is inviting visitors and residents to step outside their usual routine this May with the Museum Month Bingo Passport. Museums across the region - from the Museum of Art DeLand to DeBary Hall, Enterprise Museum, and Gillespie Museum - are opening their doors for participants to explore and complete a bingo challenge.

From May 1 through May 31, passports can be picked up at any participating museum or the West Volusia Visitor Center. As you visit each location, you’ll mark off spaces on your card. Complete a full bingo line and return your passport by June 5 to the Visitor Center or The Museum Store at the Museum of Art DeLand to receive a free sticker sheet featuring hand-drawn illustrations of the museums.

  2. Barberville Pioneer Settlement* (Barberville)

  3. DeBary Hall Historic Site* (DeBary)

  4. DeLand House Museum* (DeLand)

  5. DeLand Memorial Hospital and Veterans Museum (DeLand)

  6. DeLand Naval Air Station Museum (DeLand)

  7. Deltona Veterans Memorial Park and Museum (Deltona)

  8. Enterprise Museum (Enterprise)

  9. Gillespie Museum (DeLand)

  10. Homer and Dolly Hand Art Center (DeLand)

  11. Historical Seville School and Community Center (Seville)

  12. Museum of Art - DeLand* (DeLand)

  13. Lake Helen Historical Society Museum (Lake Helen)

  14. Lyonia Environmental Center (Deltona)

(*Indicates admission fee; most others are free or donation-based.)




Special Events and Activities This May


Beyond the passport, many museums are hosting special events throughout May. Highlights include Playing on the Porches at Barberville Pioneer Settlement (May 2), a workshop and artist talk with Taylor Robenalt at the Museum of Art - DeLand, and International Museum Day activities at Gillespie Museum on May 18. The Homer and Dolly Hand Art Center will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Vera Bluemner Kouba Collection on May 20, while Lyonia Environmental Center hosts free weekend programs. The West Volusia Historical Society adds even more with a Night at the Museum (May 9), a local architecture talk (May 19), and a Lunch and Learn (May 28). Additional talks and programs will take place across other participating sites.



DeLand House Museum


Museum Month encourages visitors to slow down and connect with the stories that shaped West Volusia, from art and history to science and nature. Each stop offers a new perspective, reinforcing the role these institutions play as vital cultural and educational resources.
