Located in the heart of Edgewater, Dutch Oven Bread Co., is more than just a bakery. What began as a home bakery in 2020 has blossomed into a thriving commercial bakery that now serves as a cornerstone of the local food scene. Dutch Oven specializes in sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls, and are working on perfecting the art of laminated pastries.

Founded by Candice and her husband Fabio Uyttewaal, Dutch Oven Bread Co. started with a simple mission: to work for themselves in a creative and authentic way and serve others in the process. From the very beginning, opportunities and resources from the community have continued to present themselves in such meaningful ways and have made it possible for their business to grow.

In 2023, Dutch Oven Bread Co. transitioned from a home-based operation to a commercial bakery in Edgewater. This move allowed them to expand their offerings and partner with a growing list of local businesses, each as dedicated to quality and community as they are. Today, their breads and pastries can be found at a number of local establishments.

This growing list highlights their commitment to fostering partnerships and sharing their passion with others. With four dedicated employees working alongside Candice and Fabio, Dutch Oven Bread Co. has become a beloved name in Edgewater and beyond.

LOOKING AHEAD: EXPANDING RETAIL IN 2025

While the wholesale side of the business continues to flourish, Dutch Oven Bread Co. is preparing for an exciting new chapter. In 2025, they plan to open a centrally located retail space in New Smyrna Beach. This new venture will allow them to bring their artisanal goods directly to even more customers and showcase their creativity.

In the meantime, you can find Dutch Oven's products Wednesday through Saturday at Rise Cafe in Edgewater, where they offer their baked goods straight from the oven to the customer.
