September 2026 Backwater Fishing Report

September Fishing Heats Up
As our summer heat continues to pulse at high temperatures the fishing bite remains just as hot. Both inshore and offshore fishing has had amazing action!

Josh Thomas from Titusville scored a toad redfish in mid-August using a gold spoon and @Kenny1eye has been slaying the snook on the shorelines of Bethune Beach using a variety of artificial lures.
Shea and Heather Lopez, along with Casey Collins, joined up with Matt Douglas of the west coast of Florida to score a full day of tight lines catching snapper, grouper and many other species.
As the fall season approaches soon, the bite will continue to stay hot. Look for bait pods on the beach and find shaded zones in the mangroves.
Cast Em… Hook Em… And Catch Em!

Best days to fish in September: September 2-3, 8-13,17-20, 25-28
